Richard Blenkiron
I am a self employed, part qualified architect and I work from my drawing office in Shipley, West Yorkshire which is a purpose built extension that I helped build on the side of my house.
My qualifications include a BA (Hons) degree in Architecture which I obtained at South Bank Polytechnic London, in 1989 and I have since worked for Architects in London and West Yorkshire.

My most recent employer (before self employment) was Bradford Metropolitan Council where I worked as a surveyor for seven years. This position brought me into direct contact with many aspects of the building process, from different points of view and has given me a really good ‘hands on’ knowledge of how the design, planning and building regulations processes function in the real world and how they affect people on a very personal level.
